Language Learning Centre

Our mission is to engage with and equip our students of diverse cultural backgrounds in the acquisition of the English language, so that they may participate, with confidence, both at school and in the wider community. 

In conjunction with mainstream teaching, LLC will endeavour to provide a programme suitable for your child should they require it. We will support your child in their understanding of New Zealand culture. 

Your child’s English attainment,  continued development of their first language and well-being are important to us.

 We look forward to working in partnership with you.

We provide:

• Each student a full assessment to ascertain their level of English proficiency after a settling in period.
• A programme that meets students’ needs with constant monitoring as to their progress.
• Teaching that covers all education strands in areas of speaking, listening, reading, writing, spelling and vocabulary extension. Comprehension, attainment and skills will be a priority.
• Support and encouragement in developing confidence.
• Tuition on a one to one or small group basis – no more than 10 students in a group.
• Open communication with parents and guardians.
• Information and help to access English language courses for parents who may require them.
• Twice yearly, home stay visits as required by the Ministry of Education for all International students.
